Images and Videos

How do I delete an image or video?

If you are a member, sign in, go to Your Stuff, select the media you want to delete, and click Delete. See Members: Delete Images & Videos.

If you are not a member, you cannot delete images or videos.

What does "Report Offensive Material" do?

When you click Report Offensive Material, the image or video you flagged as offensive is scheduled for review by TinyPic.

How do I copy a code?

Click the box that contains the code. It is automatically copied. After copying, paste it where you want to use it. See Share Your Media.

What is the limit on image size? 

The image size limit is 1600 pixels (either width or height). Images that are too large are resized to the largest acceptable size. Use the Resize drop-down list on the Upload page to resize your own images when you upload them.

What are the limits on video? 

The file size limit is 100 Megabytes. The video length is limited to 5 minutes. If you upload a video longer than 5 minutes it will be truncated to 5 minutes.

What are tags?

Tags are words and phrases that you can enter to describe an image or video. When you search for specific words, it is the tags that are searched.

How do I add tags to an existing image or video?

You can add tags to images and videos when you upload them, you can add tags to any media in your account, and you can add tags to any image that does not currently have tags, whether you uploaded it or not.

How long are images and videos kept?

Images and videos is in your account will not be removed. Images and videos that are not associated with an account are kept until they have not been viewed for 90 days. After 90 days, they may be removed.

Can I make my images and videos private?

Currently all images and videos uploaded are public. If you would like better control over your images and videos, we recommend using Photobucket.

Why didn't my search work?

Searches may not return results for a number of reasons (full details provided on the Search page), such as:

• Search terms must be at least three characters.
• Search does not find numbers (e.g., C3PO does not find images of the movie character. It returns no results).
• The image or video may not have any tags.

Using the Direct Link for Layouts code, enter <img src=DIRECTLINK>. For example, <img src=http://tinypic.com/images/logo.gif>.
